This project was a reduction print from a wood block that required three colors. This was one of my most nerve-racking assignments since it was my first attempt and couldn’t seem to wrap my head around the process right away. I chose the subject of my grandmother since I see her as one of the strongest and kind-hearted females I know. I also chose the two ravens because my son is named after the Nordic God, Odin, who has these companions who fly all over the world and report their information back to him. I’d like to think that this was a way that has made my grandmother so wise.
