This is an in-class painting, which represents the emotions of growth, hope and passion. These flower beings are humanized, yet still remain relatively realistic. I was inspired by Keith Haring’s take on abstract beings, and created these flower “people” as a way to convey these emotions I had chosen for the assignment. I also played a lot with texture and hope the textural quality is seen in this painting as well.
