In this mixed media project I decided to explore, among other things, the concept of audience participation. I invited other students in the painting class to participate by answering the questions, "Will YOU Vote? Why or Why not?" After many of my peers participated, the piece hung with the others in the upstairs hallway of MAHB with a plastic bag full of chalk so people could write their comments. This project was created as a sort of companion piece for a somewhat similar project created in another class. My thanks to Jacqueline Ehlis for creating an open and inclusive space, facilitating participation.
