Pam Russell | “The Fox Went Out”
This media file is attached to: 1st Annual One College Virtual Art Student Exhibition
Four relief linocut prints mounted in sequence on an accordion-folded paper framework create 3D illustration for the opening scene of a favorite old folk song “The fox went out on a chilly night.” In this rendition, the fox looks across the snowy fields at cozy farm house, poised to enter the narrative but standing just outside of the framed pastoral scene. In addition to linocut, I use trace monotype (the icy blues) and watercolor (warm browns) to add color this piece.
