This painting was my final project in my class and everything was up to us. I worked from a reference photo that greatly reminded me (and many others) of how rooms and spaces have become through the pandemic. Even while living only at home, the space I lived and worked in became a mess and a blur of time. I utilized the post-impressionist painting techniques that create chunky brush strokes, plus glazing developed the color chunks to blur together. The painting was designed to be blurry and leave the viewer unable to differentiate between the different objects in the surroundings, thus producing how it feels living through a pandemic.
