Frequently asked questions
Who will be attending Manufacturing Day?

Manufacturing Day will be held in Columbia County, Oregon and attended by students in grades 8-12 across the region.

What should I offer at Manufacturing Day?

Manufacturing Day is all about giving students a taste of what it’s like to work in manufacturing and introduce them to the many different types of manufacturing out there! We are hoping that vendors will provide a hands-on activity for students and give them an opportunity to experience manufacturing for themselves. If you’d like to join but aren’t sure what you could provide, let us know! We’d be happy to help you brainstorm ideas.

If I want to provide something for students, how much should I plan to bring?

We are currently anticipating between 300-500 students but will have more accurate estimates after school starts.

What will be provided?

We will provide a 2 by 5 ft table, two chairs, and access to power. We will provide extension cords by request on a first come first serve basis. We will also provide lunch.

Where will I be located?

We plan to group organizations doing similar work together, but will request your preferred building on the registration form. We cannot guarantee that you will be placed in a particular building.

When do I set up?

We will welcome vendors to set up the day before from 3-5 pm. Both buildings will open to vendors at 7:00 am the day of the event. Students arrive at 8:30 am.

Will I have assistance setting up?

We encourage vendors to bring the number of people necessary to set up their booth. Both locations will have access to a forklift operator and dollies.

Will there be food/drinks?

We will provide lunch and water. Please note your dietary restrictions in the registration form.

Can I sponsor this event?

You can! If you are interested in sponsoring this event please don’t hesitate to let us know. We will provide more information about sponsoring this event soon.
