Project proposal and development
- The project proposal: A Grants Officer will lead a proposal development team to develop the project, help the team navigate the grant proposal requirements, create a timeline, and complete the required application materials, including leading the development and writing of the project narrative.
- Faculty and staff role: The faculty or staff member will provide content expertise to assist with the project development over the course of 1 to 6 months, including attending regular meetings, editing grant proposal drafts, and ensuring a commitment to the project development and proposal throughout the process.
- Currently, compensation is not available for faculty and staff to work on grant applications.
- The project budget: The Grant Specialist and Grants Officer will work with the proposal development team in developing the budget. The Contract and Grant Accounting Office will review the budget prior to submission.
- The project submission: The Grants Office team will help navigate institutional processes; format, review, and revise the final proposal; and submit the grant to the funder.
