Respondus License (Windows only)

Read this first before proceeding:

  • For a PCC-managed computer, please contact the IT Service Desk (971-722-4400) to have Respondus installed on your computer.
  • For your personal computer, read and follow the instructions on this page.

Please read the following information…

Portland Community College has obtained a campus-wide license for the Respondus software. Respondus is a Windows application that enhances the functionality and usability of D2L Brightspace’s quiz, survey, and self-test tools. For a product description and complete list of features, visit  www.respondus.com.

 

Our license permits you to install a copy of the Respondus software on a home computer or Laptop. However, please note that you are not permitted to provide the Respondus software or the password information to anyone who is not affiliated with our institution. Such an action is a violation of our licensing agreement with Respondus and is a federal crime.

Downloading Respondus

It’s important to note that you are not able to download the software directly from the Respondus website, nor are you able to use the password listed below to activate a copy previously downloaded from their site.

  • Download Respondus – This file that will accept the Installation Password listed in the Installing Respondus section

Installing Respondus

Once you have copied the file onto your hard drive

  • Double-click on Respondus4Campus.exe it to start the Respondus installation program. During the installation process you will be asked to enter the name of the institution, the local support contact, and the installation password. The information must be entered EXACTLY as follows:

  • We recommend that you accept the default settings for the program when installing the software.
