MM – Multimedia Instructor Qualifications
MM Instructor Qualifications Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Video Production, Animation or related field, such as: Media Studies, Motion Design, Sound Design, UX/UI Design, Immersive Tech, Game Development, Graphic Design, Photography, Advertising, Digital Communication or Broadcast Journalism and 4 years recent experience (within the last 10 years) in industry as a Multimedia or Video specialist, Film or Video Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Videographer, Editor, Motion Designer, Colorist, Sound designer, Animator, 3D artist, Digital Content Producer, Stop Motion Animator, Production Artist, Production Designer, Visual effects artist, Screenwriter, or Production Coordinator.
OR
Associate’s degree in one of the areas above and five (5) years recent experience (within the last 10 years) ,
OR
Certificate in one of the areas above and six (6) years of recent experience (within the last 10 years)

For Related Instruction
MM 120, MM160, MM230, MM259, MM270 include embedded Related Instruction in Computation, Communication and Human Relations. In order to teach these courses, instructor must have:
- Completed college-level algebra or higher Math OR documented competent business involvement and ownership (for Computation)
- Completed college-level writing course (for Communication)
- Documented teaching experience or supervisory work experience (for Human Relations)
MM 224 Drone Videography and other courses covering drone operations and/or regulations:
- Hold a current FAA Remote Pilot certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 107.
- Present a pilot log or portfolio, demonstrating experience as Remote Pilot in Command, piloting at least two models of small UAS, conducting at least thirty logged flights from take-off to controlled, undamaged landings.

Demonstrated Competency
Demonstrated competency is determined on a course-by-course basis. For each course, the instructor must have the requisite body of knowledge showcased via Portfolio and Reel, and possess five years of professional experience in the area.
