RAD – Radiography Instructor Qualifications (includes MRI and Mammography)

Full Time Radiography Instructor

  • Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Science or Radiography and
  • Bachelor degree or higher in any field, or obtain within 24 months of hire
  • Master’s Degree in any field if applying for Program Director role, or obtain within 18 months of hire
  • Current ARRT certification and
  • Oregon license in radiography – or obtain within 3 months and
  • 3 years or more radiography work experience. Recent teaching experience at the college level or industry training experience, or a combination of the two, may be substituted, year for year, for recent experience in the Imaging industry.

Part Time Radiography Lab or Lecture Instructor

  1. Current ARRT certification and Oregon license in radiography and
  2. At least 2 years experience working as a radiographer at a facility where there are radiography students (time spent in clinical training meets this requirement).

MRI Instructor

  • AAS degree or higher
  • Current ARRT MRI certification and Oregon state license
  • 4 years MRI work experience (up to 1 year may be time spent in clinical training)

CT Instructor

  • Bachelor’s degree with certification in CT plus 4 years of relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required. OR,
  • AAS degree with 30 quarter hours of CT course work and a minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years of CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required, or
  • AAS degree in subject area with a minimum of 5 years CT work experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 3 years of CT work experience. Current certification and state license/s required.

Mammography Instructor

  • AAS degree or equivalent and
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a registered mammographer and
  • Current Oregon license in radiography and ARRT certification in mammography.
