Qualifications prior to January 2025
Radiography Instructor
- Associate degree or higher in any field and
- Current ARRT certification and
- Oregon license in radiography – or be eligible within 3 months and
- 3 years or more radiography work experience. Recent teaching experience at the college level or industry training experience, or a combination of the two, may be substituted, year for year, for recent experience in the Imaging industry.

MRI Instructor
- Bachelor’s degree with specialization in MRI plus 4 years relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years MRI work experience). Current certification and state license/s required. Or,
- AAS degree and 30 quarter hours of MRI course work and a minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years MRI work experience). Current certification and state license/s required, or
- AAS degree in Radiography with a minimum of 5 years MRI work experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 3 years MRI work experience). Current certification and state license/s required.

CT Instructor
- Bachelor’s degree with certification in CT plus 4 years of relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required. OR,
- AAS degree with 30 quarter hours of CT course work and a minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years of CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required, or
- AAS degree in subject area with a minimum of 5 years CT work experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 3 years of CT work experience. Current certification and state license/s required.

Mammography Instructor
- AAS degree or equivalent and
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a registered radiographer/mammographer and
- Current Oregon license in radiography and ARRT certification in mammography.

- At least 2 years full-time experience working at a facility where there are radiography students.

Qualifications prior to May 2021
Radiography Instructor
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (in any field) and
- Minimum 3 years recent radiography work experience and
- Current ARRT certification and Oregon license in radiography or be eligible within 3 months and
- Minimum 1 year experience using digital imaging equipment and related storage processes.

Lab Instructor
- Current ARRT certification and a current Oregon License in radiography
- At least 2 years full-time experience working at a facility where there are radiography students in the imaging department.
Radiography Instructor
- Faculty hired to teach mammography course work will possess a minimum of three years of work experience as a registered radiographer/mammographer, and hold an unencumbered state of Oregon license in radiography and AART certification in mammography.

- Bachelor’s degree in subject area (Medical Imaging), with certification in CT ) plus 4 years of relevant clinical experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related area (Computed Tomography, Advance Radiography) with 30 quarter hours of CT course work and a minimum of 4 years relevant clinical experience ( can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 2 years of CT work experience). Current certification and state license/s required.
- AAS degree in subject area with a minimum of 5 years CT work experience (can include time spent in clinical training but no less than 3 years of CT work experience. Current certification and state license/s required.
