Passport photo page
  • Submit a copy of your passport photo page (with picture, name, and date of birth).
  • If you are applying with dependents, you must submit a copy of each dependent’s passport photo page.
Academic transcripts (list of classes and grades)
  • Only If you have attended high school, an Intensive English Program, college, or university in the United States, you must submit academic transcripts from all attended schools.
Proof of financial resources

As an F-1 international student, you must provide documentation of $25,800 USD in order to be admitted to PCC (Statement of Financial Responsibility). Below are estimated minimum expenses for an academic year (3 terms/9 months) for an F-1 student taking 12 credits per term. Actual expenses may vary. Tuition and fees are subject to change.

Submit all required supporting documents as detailed below.

  • If you have Personal Funds or Funds from Family or Individual Sponsor, you must submit official bank letters or bank account statements showing the balance indicated above. Funds must be liquid in a checking or savings account. Financial documents cannot be dated before the date listed on the International Admissions webpage for the term you are applying.
    • Official bank letters or bank account statements must:
      • be in English (or an official translation into English),
      • include the name on the account,
      • include the date,
      • have currency listed, and
      • be printed on official bank letterhead or stationery.
    • If your funds are from a Family Member or Individual Sponsor, you must also upload the completed Sponsor Information form when submitting the bank document in your application.
    • A sponsor information form is required for each family member or individual sponsor.
  • If you have Funds from a Company Sponsor, you must:
    • submit a Letter of Financial Guarantee. The letter must:
      • be in English (or an official translation into English),
      • include the name of the student,
      • include the name of the individual who approves the sponsorship,
      • include the date, and
      • be printed on official company letterhead or stationery.
    • submit an official bank document. The bank document must:
      • be in English (or an official translation into English),
      • include the name on the account,
      • include the date, and
      • be printed on official bank letterhead or stationery.
  • If you have a Government Sponsor or Scholarship, you must submit a Letter of Financial Guarantee or a copy of your award letter.
  • If you are applying with dependents, you must show proof of funds that include the dependents. (Additional $4,000 for spouse and $3,000 for each child.)
Proof of English Proficiency (not required for ESOL students)
  • Submit a document from this list showing your proof of English Proficiency.
  • If you plan to study ESOL, you will not need to submit any documents proving your English proficiency.

Important: Only documents submitted before the application deadline will be reviewed. If you would like to defer your application to a future term, please email the PCC International Admissions team at international@pcc.edu.

Additional Documents for Transfer Students

If you are an F-1 international student transferring (or transferring back) to PCC from another school in the US, please also submit the following:

  1. Current I-20
    • Submit a copy of your current I-20.
  2. F-1 Visa
    • Submit a copy of your current F-1 Visa

All students, including transfer students, must attend classes full time (minimum of 12 credits, each term) during the term they have applied for, including Summer term. If you are a transfer student planning on taking summer as a “vacation term,” then you should apply for and transfer in the following Fall term.

Students changing their visa to F-1

If you are currently in the United States with a visa type other than F-1, you may be able to apply to change your status to F-1 while remaining in the US.

  1. Current visa
    • Submit a copy of your current visa.

Please note the following:

  • Follow the Next Steps on your admissions letter for Important information to complete a Change of Status.
  • It is highly recommended that students speak with an immigration attorney for a Change of Status, as we can only advise on F-1 visas. 
  • If you do not have your Change of Status approval notice by the first day of Orientation Week, you must request to defer your application by Friday of Orientation week.

Students Returning to PCC after Suspension

If you are an F-1 international student transferring back to PCC after being suspended, please note that if you are admitted to PCC, you must complete following:

  1. Earn a 2.0+ GPA in your first term back
  2. Meet with your assigned academic advisor and establish a Learning Contract

If you do not meet these two requirements in your first term, you will be required to transfer to a different school or return home.

Age Requirement

In general, applicants should be turning 18 years of age in the first term they attend PCC, or older. However, we do accept students aged 16 to 17 if certain requirements are met. Please complete this Underage International Student Guardianship form and submit it during Orientation Week.
