No. There are other forms of ID that we accept. See Borrowing for a list of all valid forms of ID.
You can borrow library materials (books, music, films, equipment, laptops, etc.), use a computer, print, scan, and study. (Please see the library website for information on borrowing.)
Yes, Community Patrons are able to come in and check out books. You will need to apply for a new card when you visit the library. Computer lab access is available for community users.
Yes, students can attend online classes in the library. The computers in the main computer lab do not have webcams. You can borrow a library laptop and headphones if you need to attend a live class session either in the library or elsewhere on campus. Please remember that these are shared spaces: the space won’t be silent and we ask that you keep your participation quiet.

There are lots of library resources still available online! You can get help from librarians and access ebooks, articles, or other online materials. You can also contact library staff if you have any questions or concerns about your library account, items you have checked out, or fines. Yes, library drop boxes are open at all campus libraries.
We are working to fill Summit and Interlibrary Loan requests as quickly as possible. This can sometimes take a while due to unforeseen shipping issues. You will receive an email when the item you requested is available for pick up from one of our four campus library locations.
Yes, some library website pages can be viewed in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese. Language translations are available for the following pages: borrowing, library fines, loan periods, library accounts, troubleshooting login issues, and donating food to reduce fines.
