When PCC Library is closed, or you need to work remotely, the Library can provide assistance in a number of ways.
Get help 24/7
- Do you need help with research? You can email or chat with a librarian from any remote location.
- PCC Librarians are available for chat during regular library hours, but at other times you may be chatting with a librarian from a different library.
- Students can make an appointment for an online research help consultation with a librarian. Appointments can be scheduled at Research Help Appointments.
Online materials and tools
- Search books, videos, and more from the library homepage
- Follow easy directions for how to Find a Book or Video in the Library
- Use a library database to search for articles, videos and more.
- From off-campus, you will be prompted to log in using your PCC credentials.
- If your login is successful, you will be taken directly to the article.
- If your login is not successful, please let us know by filling out the Library Authentication Problem form.
- Use a subject-specific Library Research Guide.

- Find offers of free online content during COVID-19 closures (including ebooks, audiobooks, streaming video, internet, wifi, and technology) in our COVID-19 Offers and Resources guide.

Renew books online
- Many PCC items can be renewed for up to six weeks unless the items are requested by another person. Some items cannot be renewed.

Returning materials
- Book returns are now open
Subject liaison librarians
- Librarians with expertise in particular subject areas are available for remote consultation via email.
