Madden partners with college
For Ken Madden, it just makes sense to be a part of Portland Community College. Madden is vice president of sales and marketing for the Beaverton-based Madden Industrial Craftsmen, Inc. Recently, the Madden family created an endowed scholarship fund through the PCC Foundation to provide tuition, fees and books for students in the college's Building Construction Technology program. Cascade construction activity leads bond program
Portland Community College has made great strides this spring in the overall transformation of the college's north Portland Cascade Campus. PCC is investing $57 million in four new buildings, a major expansion of the science building Jackson Hall, which was completed last fall, and the remodeling of existing facilities. PCC fall class schedule due out at end of July
PORTLAND, Ore. - The fall PCC Schedule of Classes will arrive in mailboxes to district-area residents in late July. Portland Community College's academic year begins Monday, Sept. 27 at Portland Community College. PCC Board selects Lim to fill Zone 6 vacancy
PORTLAND, Ore. - Jaime Lim has been selected as the new board member for Zone 6 (Washington County) for the Board of Directors of Portland Community College. He was sworn in by PCC District President Preston Pulliams on July 15 and will serve the remainder of the term through June 30, 2005. Lim replaces Maureen Breckenridge, who resigned from her position in May. Posted July 21, 2004

Family business grows up
YoCream International partnered with PCC to obtain a grant for workforce skill development. The grant was used to set up a Total Quality Management program including performance measures and employee training.
