- From dropout to dean, Gondara takes the right path
- PORTLAND, ORE. - Brooke Gondara was a high school drop out. She is now the dean of the Social Sciences Division at the Sylvania Campus and she is the first woman from the Northern Cheyenne Nation to earn an academic doctorate. - CASCADE CAMPUS - Wayne Mendezona has coached in Austria, Bahrain and Kuwait. Now hes going to coach at Portland Community College. Posted May 17, 2005
- Ceramics sale at Rock Creek Campus
- The Ceramics Guild of the Rock Creek Campus is hosting a pottery sale Monday, May 23 through Friday, May 27 at the campus art gallery and atrium of Building 3. The sale, of both students and instructors work, is a large showing of pottery with a portion of the proceeds used to support the work of the student Ceramics Guild. Posted May 16, 2005

- SYLVANIA CAMPUS - The student government at the Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College is in the midst of a four-day postcard campaign to alert state legislators of the impact on their lives from tuition increases and the lack of accessibility to community colleges in the state. - Student writes her own ticket to success in Russian essay competition
- SYLVANIA CAMPUS - Olga Kiser, a first-year Russian language student at Portland Community College, competed against the country's elite and won. Posted May 5, 2005
- PCC students adapt Greek play to reflect modern times
- PORTLAND, Ore. - The Theater Arts program at Portland Community College presents the provocative Greek comedy, "Lysistrata," adapted by PCC students. The student cast took the play, written in 411 B.C. by Aristophanes, and updated it to reflect today's fast-paced social realities. The play is directed by Mark Collmer, part-time theater arts technician at PCC. Posted May 5, 2005
- PCC Illumination Project addresses domestic violence
- SYLVANIA CAMPUS - The Illumination Project at the Sylvania Campus is addressing sexual and domestic violence head-on with a series of interactive theater performances at the Sylvania Campus. The project consists of a diverse group of 20 student educators, who produce original plays drawn from the real-life experiences of the project's members. Posted May 5, 2005
