CH104 Allied Health Chemistry I

Introduces general principles of chemistry: atomic structure, mole concept, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, and gas laws. Designed for students in a health science program, e.g. Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technician, Vet Tech, or for a laboratory science elective. This is the first course of a three course sequence. Prerequisite: (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 or equivalent placement. Prerequisite/Concurrent: MTH 95. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
