Introduces Homeland Security and its function of coordinating efforts to develop and implement a comprehensive national strategy to secure the nation from terrorist threats or attacks. Agencies associated with Homeland Security along with their duties and relationships are covered. Explores historical events, laws, issues, communications, critical threats and other topics related to protecting the national infrastructure. Prerequisites: Placement into WR 121.
