Continues the study of music components relevant to a variety of contemporary and historical styles such as advanced chromatic harmony, complex metric devices, and jazz harmony. Includes scales and organizational systems, melodic & rhythmic variation, and how they apply to songs and compositions. Prerequisites: MUS 113, MUC 103, or instructor permission.
