Details about this class

BA111 - Introduction to Accounting

In this course, we will learn about the very basic concepts and vocabulary used by professionals in managing the financial operations of a business.  Accounting can have a reputation for being intimidating and scary, but if you can perform basic math skills and like to solve puzzles, this class is a great start to understand how businesses create the reports that tell the "story" of their companies.

This course is 'Online and Remote,' which means there is a weekly meeting held via Zoom Saturday morning from 10:00-11:50am. The Zoom meeting can be accessed through the class D2L under the "Zoom" tab.

The "Online" part of the course is facilitated by the use of Pearson MyAccountingLab curriculum to enhance content and complete graded assignments.

Instructions for creating an account in Pearson MyAccountingLab, registering and accessing the MAL course will be available on our D2L course page, and announcements, on the Friday before the term starts.

Our course syllabus and calendar will also be available to registered students on the Friday before the first day of the term.
