Details about this class

Management Fundamentals is an introductory course that explores the essentials of management and its critical role within an organization.

This remote course consists of nine engaging and interactive short Zoom sessions held on Thursdays. These sessions provide an opportunity to collaborate with classmates while exploring key strategies, terminology, and skills related to the weekly topics.

All sessions are recorded and integrated into a weekly discussion forum, aligning with the lecture content to support your responses to specific discussion topics. You can miss up to two sessions without penalty, as long as, you complete the discussion topic for that week.

Overview: Throughout the course, you will explore management levels, their primary functions, various management styles, and decision-making and problem-solving processes.  Additionally, you will analyze core concepts of business management theory, including planning, organizing, directing, leading, and controlling, as well as factors influencing modern management practices.

Final thoughts: I believe you'll find this course format both engaging and informative as you get to know me as your instructor and connect with your classmates. Previous students have appreciated the interactive nature of the course and the opportunity to clarify various topics through our sessions together.
