Details about this class
Welcome to Level 6 Communication!
The theme of our class is academic communication. That means that we will talk about the world around us and how it connects to our own lives. We will practice listening, speaking, and presentation skills that help us to communicate both at school and at work. Our goal is to understand and be understood most of the time.
You do not need to buy a textbook; all materials will be provided for you in class or available to print outside of class.
Technology
In this class, you will be asked to use your PCC Gmail, Google Docs, and D2L. You will need speakers or headphones to be able to watch and listen to videos online. You will need a smartphone or a webcam with microphone to make audio or video recordings. If you do not have these things, you can borrow this equipment from the PCC library for free.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
