Details about this class
Greetings, and welcome to the dynamic world of geography! My approach to this course focuses on current events and how geography applies to our everyday lives. Your experiences and insights are an important part of our classroom conversations, which you can share in our weekly Zoom class meetings.
The course structure is designed to reflect the hybrid, flipped-style of learning. You will have access to readings and pre-recorded content videos, and test your knowledge on a quiz before combining to class. In class, we will focus on discussion and application in once a week ZOOM meetings. You can engage in meetings using a phone (call in or app), tablet, computer, or any device that can connect to ZOOM or D2L/Brightspace.
While attendance is highly encouraged, you can complete this course even if you cannot attend all the meetings. You have two excused absences from class with an adaptable attendance and participation policy. Meetings are recorded for later reference.
