Details about this class
We will be exploring the unique and important role women have played in the last 150 years of American history. This class is driven by a crucial question: How does the story of our nation change when we not only bring in the other half of the population into the equation but privilege it?
If this class is doing what it is supposed to, you should find women you admire, women you loath, and many you have complicated feelings about. Then as now, women were a diverse group and cannot be pigeon-holed into one, simplistic category.
