Q: Do I have to buy a textbook?
A: No - it is free textbook. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING UNTIL WE MEET:-)
Q: How do I access the course?
A: Log into MyPCC. On the main webpage, in the Quick Links window on the left, you will see the link to access D2L.
Q: When should I start the course?
A: Our first meeting.
Q: Do I have to attend the class sessions?
A: As a class will will meet on Wednesdays 9:00AM - 11:50AM. It is mandatory you make class meetings.
Q: Is a hybrid course self-paced?
A: The hybrid course is not self paced. The pace is set by the instructor who releases modules containing lecture notes and quizzes on a weekly basis. In about a week period you get to decide when you will study, but it cannot be done all in 1 day or even all in 2 days. Please understand you need more than 1- 2 days to fully understand the precalculus concepts.
Q: How is the material presented?
A: The instructor will provide the student with written material, videos, and a FREE Online Homework System. You also have the textbook as a resource for the class. Students watch videos and take notes before we meet as a class.
Q: Do I have to come in to take the exams?
A: YES. You will take the exams during class time.
Q: Is there homework?
A: Yes, lots of it done online and handwritten work:-)
Technology
Students need to have access to the internet & a scanner app/device.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
