CEU3368 AAPC Medical Coding A covers ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and the CPT sections Evaluation & Management and Medicine Section coding.
This course employs a modular design with live online and recorded lectures, and is arranged by weekly release of assignments, and quizzes. Students can expect to invest 15-20 hours a week for lecture, reading and homework in order to be successful in this course. Online courses require that students have basic to intermediate computer savvy, and are skilled in personal discipline, task organization and time management. This class requires students to exchange word documents or pdf's for assignments.
PREREQUISITES for CEU3368 AAPC Medical Coding A: Anatomy & Physiology for Coders and Medical Terminology. This class alone will not provide enough material to pass the AAPC CPC Certification Exam. Students also need to take CEU3369 AAPC Medical Coding B.
TEXT(S) REQUIRED: The bookstore does not carry the required textbook or coding books. Students will receive an email from the instructor with details on how to order them through AAPC.
