Details about this class
Textbook - Medical Language: Immerse Yourself, 5th edition by Susan M. Turley
This course was revamped so the textbook publisher’s companion access code (MyLab) is no longer required!
This course is entirely online; no campus visits are required. Students are given one week to complete most assignments. We will cover all 15 chapters of the textbook, making this a content-heavy course.
Technology
Speakers and microphone
- There is a pronunciation activity, which requires the use of a microphone.
- Most computers after ~2008 often come with this preinstalled; cell phones have a microphone.
- Speakers are required for the listening portions of the course.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
