Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding Lessons at Mt Hood Meadows

Portland Community College Physical Education Department is teaming up with Mt. Hood Meadows to provide a Five Week Course to learn or improve your Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding Skills during Winter Term 2025.

The course meets for five consecutive Saturdays starting February 1st and ends March 1st, (2/1; 2/8; 2/15; 2/22; 3/1). PCC students need to register for one of the Skiing or Snowboarding courses, then in January registered students will receive a Mt. Hood Meadows "PCC GO-Code" that is used to receive reduced pricing for Lessons, Lift Tickets and Rentals at www.skihood.com (do not purchase items from this site without the PCC Go Code).

The Ski or Snowboarding course includes five, two-hour small group lessons on each of the five Saturdays. Attendance at the five lessons is required. The Beginning/Intermediate Lessons are scheduled from 9:00-11:00am and the Intermediate/Advanced Lessons are scheduled from 1:00-3:00pm. All students should plan on being at Meadows from 9:00am-3:00pm each of the Saturdays. Note: Students have access to the Resort before or after their scheduled lesson to practice.

Transportation to and from Mt. Hood Meadows is not provided by PCC. Students will need to arrange for transportation; self drive, car pool or the Meadows Ski Bus. The Ski Bus is an additional cost and is not included in the PCC Package.

Pricing is for the Five Saturdays and the Online sales are paid to Mt. Hood Meadows at www.skihood.com. The Prices for the Winter 2025 College Program using the PCC Go Code are as follows:

Five Two-hour Lessons = $449 (required for all students)

Five All Mt. Lift Tickets = $319. (all day, all mountain)

Equipment Rentals = $119 (skis/board; boots; poles, for five weeks).

Additional Pricing:

Ski Check = $10 (keep Ski/SB equipment in a secured area while not on the slopes, good all course).

Note: There is a required student orientation on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:00-6:50pm to answer any of your questions and to finalize the course rosters. This will be in person at PCC’s Sylvania Campus Health Technology Building, HT 203.

Questions: Contact PE Faculty Department Chair Mike Boggs at michael.boggs@pcc.edu.
