About Me

Hello and welcome to my page! I teach at PCC Sylvania in the Early Childhood and Human Services programs. Along with teaching, I have spent most of my work life as a school counselor but I also have experience as a preschool teacher and public school administrator.  While I enjoy working with little people and their never-ending energy, I have appreciated the depth of learning and collaboration among adult learners.

My teaching style is relaxed and I often use a combination of self-reflective, small group, and whole group activities to explore complex concepts and theories. I do my best to include visual learning tools along with various media and readings in my courses to account for diverse learning styles. Students will appreciate some of my classroom policies such as a late grace period for turning in assignments and opportunities to revise submitted work.
