My goal in teaching is to reduce student’s math anxiety and open doors to majors and careers that require some math background.  I hope to help students reach their academic and career goals.

My teaching style during COVID-19 remote teaching is to meet up as a class zoom session for the first hour or two of our class time to review and learn new material.  I post note outlines ahead of class time to help you with note taking.  Then I will have students work alone or in groups on problems in order to master the material but will be available to answer questions or explain anything further.  There will be some amount of homework due each time the class meets.  I am convinced that a little bit of math each day helps with retention and long term success.

Even though we can’t be together in person, I hope to get to know my students via Zoom and encourage students to make connections with me and with their fellow learners.

Hope to meet you soon!
