Hello students!
1. Study for Quiz 1. We will take a practice quiz first.
The quiz will have letters, vowels, consonants, syllables, syllable stress, and dictation.
2. Download the free Burlington English app.
Go to the App Store or Google Play, and search for “Burlington English.” The app looks like Planet Earth wearing headphones. On Friday, we will have a special guest give us a lesson on how to use the Burlington English app to learn more English.
3. Look at your diagnostic test. Do you understand your mistakes?
4. Complete “The First Week” packet.
Free Air Conditioners
Do you need air conditioning in your house or apartment? If you want a free air conditioner, you can get one from the City of Portland. They will deliver it and install it.

Summer EBT Program
Are you a parent with SNAP benefits? If so, you may be eligible for additional benefits this summer! The Summer EBT Program for Kids helps families buy food for their school aged children during the summer when school is out. Eligible participants will receive $120 per child. If you take the bus, you can get a reduced fare bus pass if you have Oregon Health Plan or food stamps. They can help you fill out the application in the bookstore. After, you need to go downtown to get your card. Then you need to load money onto the card. They can also help you with that in the bookstore.
