2021 Winter Fabric Needs
Pattern Needs
I will give the pattern as we go along in the class. Each week I will post what we are doing that day with what pieces. We will sew some during class and you will continue to sew during the week, in order to come together the next week and move to the next step.
Fabric/Yardage Needs
- 1/4 yard of four bright prints for tulips and pinwheels
- 1/4 yard green for tulip stems
- 1/4 yard of green for tulip leaves
- 3/4 yard white–either white solid or white-on-white (WOW) fabric
- 1 yard backing fabric
- 1/4 yard for binding
- 35″ square piece of batting
The first class meeting I will be going over what type of fabric and batting you will need to buy. If you are a “jump ahead” kind of person, always buy good 100% cotton fabric. Be careful of fabric at JoAnn’s–some are great and some are not so great. An actual fabric store will have the best selection and good quilting fabric.
