We will start the class with the basic materials and learning the techniques

if you are interested to have your own materials, please look up on the material list

  • unmounted linoleum if you buy larger can be cut and is cheaper.
  • 4″ × 6″ Speedy-Carve block
  • Speedball Linoleum Cutter Kit Assortment #1 – Linocut Carving Tools for Block Printing, Includes 5 Blades
  • Speedball Water-Based Block Printing Ink colors Red, Yellow, Blue Black, White , $4 per colors
  • paper 1 pad of Strathmore 300 Series Printmaking Pads 8’x10’ ($8.03 ) or 
  • Bristol paper is good for transferring the linocut in etching press
  • larger paper for monotype (We will talk about the additional paper for monotype )
  • Tracing Paper or wax paper
  • Pencil B 6
  • permanent marker
  • some images for inspiration 
  • 4-inch rubber brayer roller 
  • tarlatan for intaglio
  • Yasutomo Bamboo Baren size small $6.38 (optional) wooden spun is a need. For hand transfer
  • 3 sheet of Clear Acrylic Plexiglass Sheet – 1/16″ Thick – 9″ x 12″   ($3 75 on amazon
  • we need the plexiglass for dry point, intaglio, monotype and also for rolling the ink out.
  • etching needle dry point (Twisted Etching Needle)

Please bring with you the highlighted materials for the first class
