Here are the slides from today.
The Unit 2 Test is scheduled for Friday. If we have a snow day, the Unit 2 Test will be on Monday.
Here is the homework:

  1. EIA 2: Review Unit 2 (read, write, listen, speak). Review pp. 42-44. Study for the Unit 2 Test. Here is the link to listen.

  2. Do your missing Unit 2 homework: Did you do your workbook homework (pages 14-19)? Did you write about your family? Did you e-mail me your corrected sentences or paragraph?

  3. Practice your English and send me an e-mail or voicemail or fill out the table about it! Independent Practice #2 is due next Monday!

Week 6 is the middle of the term. We are halfway through winter term. Keep coming to class, participating and doing your homework.
You are ready for Level 3 when you can use English to:

  • give and follow spoken directions.

  • give and follow written directions.

  • use simple past and simple present verb tenses to ask questions and make statements. (So far we’ve worked on simple present)

  • ask for more information.

  • recognize and understand familiar information.

  • read and understand a paragraph.

  • write basic personal information in the correct location on a form.

  • use good grammar and spelling to write a paragraph.

  • use your eagle eyes to find and correct your mistakes.

  • use the telephone to leave a message.

  • use technology.

  • spell and pronounce vocabulary words correctly.

  • identify grammar and parts of speech.

  • participate in class to communicate with the teacher and other students.

  • pass classroom quizzes and tests

I will also look at your attendance, participation in class, homework, quiz, and test results to decide if Level 2 or Level 3 is better for you spring term.
