Here are the slides from today. We reviewed Unit 6, took the Unit 6 test and did a little singing at the end of class to She’s Not Just a Pretty Face by Shania Twain (lyrics)
Tomorrow is International Women’s Day. Sunday is Time Change: Spring Forward .
Here is the homework for Monday and next week:

  1. EIA 2: Preview Unit 8 (start to read the unit and learn some vocabulary words): “Good Weekend/Bad Weekend.” Here is the link to listen.

  2. Do on Voicemail #3. Call me and tell me about your weekend. First, tell me about what you like to do or what you usually do on the weekend (simple present). Then, tell me about what you are doing right now (present continuous). Try to say three sentences for each situation. Here is my phone number:  (971) 361-9557. Please call and wait for the beep. I will not answer. Then speak your message. Here is an example: “Hi Heather, this is ________________. I’m in your Level 2 class. I want to tell you about my weekend. I usually like to spend time with my family. I watch my daughter play basketball and my son play soccer. I correct the homework. Right now I am leaving you a voicemail. I am speaking English. I am not speaking Spanish. See you soon. Bye!”

  3. Work on independent practice #5. Here is the table. You can print it and fill it out or write on your own paper. It is due next Friday.

  4. Read your library book and write and practice speaking your book report. Book reports for Monday (sorry we ran out of time today): Wakil, Negar, Yonathan, Jennifer. Who else?

  5. Do old (late) homework: Write your simple present and present continuous paragraphs. Self-evaluation. Correct your homework. The last day to turn in homework is Friday, March 14th. Turn in your books that you borrowed.

 
Next week is our last week! We will have a party on Monday, March 17th.
