To maximize the zoom music lesson experience please take sometime to familiarize yourself with Zoom audio settings. Camera angles are important, especially in piano lessons so I can see your fingers.
Optimize Zoom Settings for Music
A laptop or desktop is idea for zoom as you can change audio setting to maximize the sound. Smartphones and tablets do not have the ability to change sound settings and can cause audio problems. If you do not have a laptop or desktop but have a iphone FaceTime maybe a preferred format.
Below are the adjustments to make on your zoom settings.
Log into your Zoom room
Step 1: a link will be emailed to you weekly

Step 3: Once in deselect “automatically adjust microphone volume” and select “original sound for musicians”. Each time you sign on you will ALSO need to click the “Original Sound for Musicians at the top left hand corner of the screen by the green shield.
Additional features: Sound quality can be greatly improved by adding an external USB microphone. I use a Blue Yeti
Optimize your visual experience
For Voice lessons please have your camera show your upper body. This way I can address breathing and body alignment in the lesson.
For Piano lessons two camera angles are ideal. Please see below. My homemade overhead camera book stack can be made simpler with the purchase 
Please do not use any filters on your zoom settings.
