Week 2 homework (September 30 to October 3, 2024)

Note:  Please try to finish the homework before the next class.  You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class.  Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for Level 3 or not.
from class Monday, September 30, 2024:

1. Student Book page 6, Exercises A & B.  Copy and complete the exercises in your notebook.

2.  Student Book page 7, Exercise C <– Click here for the audio.  Listen and repeat the sentences with contractions. Make sure you pronounce m at the end of I’m & from.

3.  Workbook page 4, Exercise E.  Complete the exercise in your workbook, or, for more writing practice, copy the exercise into your notebook.  We’ll check the answers in class on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

4.  Watch the video with Misha & Larissa about the BE verb <– Click here for the video. Make notes of new vocabulary.  Try making example sentences about yourself. Note:  The video is on Youtube, so you need to SKIP ADS at the beginning of the video.

5. Review Student Book page 12:  Classroom Expectations <– Click here for the audio.  Listen and read about classroom expectations.  Look up new words if you need to. My plan is to talk about this in class Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

1. Student Book page 9, Exercise C.  Read the information about each person and answer the questions.  You can complete the exercise in your book, or, for extra writing practice, copy the questions & answers into your notebook. We’ll check the answers in class on Monday, October 7, 2024.

2.  Student Book pages 10 & 11, Exercises A, B & C.  Listen to the audio and complete the form in Exercise A.  Write the questions in Exercise B, listen again, and answer the questions. Listen to Exercise C and write the questions. Note: For extra writing practice, copy Exercises B & C into your notebook. We’ll check the answers in class on Monday, October 7, 2024.

4.  Student Book page 15, Exercise B.  Read the information about practicing English. Circle new words.  Think about this question:  What suggestions do you already do?  Which do you want to try? We’ll talk about them in class on Monday, October 7, 2024.
