Note: Please try to finish the homework before the next class. You don’t need to send it to me because we usually talk about the answers in class. Also, when you finish the homework & prepare for class, it helps me decide if you will be ready for the expectations of Level 4 or not.
Homework from class Monday, February 24, 2025
1. Vocabulary slideshow: Natural Disasters (<– Click here.) Look at the slides, read the information & study the vocabulary.
2. Preparing for an emergency: Imagine that you know an ice storm is coming. Think about some ways you can prepare your family, your car and your home. Make notes in your notebook. We’ll discuss this in class on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
3. Grammar practice:
a) Workbook page 50, Exercises A & B. Complete the exercises on the handout, or, for extra writing practice, copy the exercises into your notebook. We’ll discuss the answers in class on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

1. Dictation: Honorable Grandfather Chapter 3 questions (<– Click here for the audio.) Listen and write the questions from Chapter 3 in your notebook. Make sure you use correct capital letters and question marks. We’ll check your questions in class tomorrow, February 27, 2025. You don’t need to answer the questions yet.
2. Grammar practice. Look at the BE handout from class (<– click here.) Circle the BE verb and identify what comes after. We’ll check your answers in class tomorrow, February 27, 2025.
Homework from class Thursday, February 27, 2025
1. Honorable Grandfather Chapter 3 questions (<– Click here for the audio.) Answer the questions about Honorable Grandfather Chapter 3 in your notebook. We’ll talk about the questions in class on Monday, March 3, 2025.
2. Grammar practice. Look at the BE handout from class (<– click here.) Make a Yes/No or Wh- question for each sentence. Example for #2: When was the break? Example for #3: Was Sarah in class? Write the questions in your notebook. We’ll check them in class on Monday, March 3, 2025.
3. Study for your quiz on natural disasters. Study the vocabulary in this slideshow <– click here. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard or click on the arrow at the bottom left of the screen to move through the slides.
4. Preview regular past tense. Watch the videos below and try the handouts that I gave you in class. You can complete the exercises on the handouts, or, for extra writing practice, copy them into your notebook.
