Work Experience:
I have about 35 years of experience in the accounting field, the majority of which were spent in manufacturing businesses. I was a Financial Controller for Weyerhaeuser Company for 20 years, so I’m intimately familiar with all aspects of the accounting cycle. My managerial roles gave me broad exposure to all aspects of the business world and practical knowledge that now allows me to work as a consultant and accounting instructor. The accounting field has been good to my family and me, so I enjoy the opportunity to give back so that others can benefit from what I’ve been given.
Personal Information:
I’m a husband and father of five children and three grandchildren. I enjoy my MacBook Pro 🙂 as well as reading, sports, and serving in the community. I served in local government as a city councilor; remain active in my church, and volunteered with Special Olympics. I was born and raised in Southern California, but I have called Oregon my home for about 35 years.
