Supply List:Beginning Drawing
Here is the supply list for Introduction to Drawing. We will go over supplies in further detail on the first day. Please bring a few sheets of large paper and a pen or pencil to the first class. The rest of the supplies will not be needed until week 2.
Materials List:
- 18″ x 24 ” bond or sketch paper (any lower cost true white SMOOTH drawing paper is fine, No newsprint)
- 23” x 26”” drawing board with clips (or big enough to hold your 18″ x 24″ paper)
- Kneaded Eraser
- Mars Plastic Eraser or Art Gum Eraser
- Click eraser– white plastic
- Graphite Drawing Pencils 2b 4b and 6b
- Vine Charcoal (soft)
- Alphacolor Compressed Charcoal (soft)
- Pigment ink Pens (black) of a few different widths: 03, 08, and a brush tip (zig or micron are the brands you are most likely to find)
- Sketchbook: spiral-bound or hardbound is best, between 5″ x 7″ and 11″ x 14″
Optional:
- Charcoal Pencils
- Hand-held pencil sharpener
- Blending stumps
- Chamois
- Workable Matte Fixative
- Toolbox or carrying case for supplies
