Canvas– Canvas boards, canvas sheets(bring clips or tape for edges) or pre-stretched canvas. 16” x 20” is a good size

Palette – 11” x 14” is a good size for masonite boards, glass or plexi , reg. or soakable palette paper, plastic palette boxes (like tupperware container, you still need palette paper or board for inside.) are excellent. Stay away from small watercolor palettes.

Palette Knives- Metal ones are best, small and medium size

Rags- Skip paper towels-these work better!

Cups- Brush cleaning cups/jars

Brush carriers or roll ups that fold into stands (my preference.) or a can.

Art box- For all above, traditional with space for palette or utility box style with palette in palette container/box thing

Smocks or Apron, brush cleaning soap (Masterson’s is great for brushes)

Sketch pad (11 x 14”), pencil & eraser for sketching, underdrawing on canvas

* There are many brands of paint to choose from- work with your budget, but I recommend BLICKAcrylic paint, which is a terrific student grade paint. Golden & Liquitex are professional grade and excellent.
