- Make factor trees for all numbers from two through forty. Remember for a prime number, you just write “prime” under the number. You DO NOT need to start all factor trees on the left side of your paper. You can make a few trees going across.

- NOTE: There are two assignments to turn in during Week #6. Additionally, we have no class on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 during Week #6 for teacher planning.
- First Assignment is to get new paper and make your heading with the title “Test #1 Corrections”. Please redo any problem that was not totally correct.
- Second Assignment is HW #5.

HW #6
- Please read over sections 2.3 – 2.5 and 3.3 if you were not in class. It is helpful to read these sections even if you were in class.
- This guide is helpful to understand how to do all operations on fractions.
- For the following problems, read them carefully because all four operations are present.
- Page 199 and 200 1 – 10 a., b., c., d.
- Please find an example for adding and subtracting fractions.
- Please start looking at Ch 4 on decimals.

Test # 2 on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 on Ch. 2, 3 and part of Ch. 4. Please do the following:
Review concepts and vocabulary by looking at pages 151 – 155, 210 – 213, and 280 – 282. Make sure you are able to define any of the boldfaced words, such as fraction, mixed number, etc. I would write down the words and their definitions. Please do the following problems:
- Page 156 & 157: 21 – 29, 32 – 40
- Page 160: 19 – 23, 25, 26, 28
- Page 161: 28, 29
- Page 196: 61, 62
- Page 214: 36 – 46
- Page 285: 3 – 8
- Page 286: 21 – 26, 29

Please read pages 248 through 252 carefully in 4.4. We will be dividing decimals and there are also some more notes and examples in this document.
Problems
- 4.4: 1, 10, 15, 20, … up to 45.
- 4.4: 59 – 60 ( Look at Example 9 on Page 253)
Look at Pages 260 – 262 and look at Table 4-1 on top of Page 262. I think many of you know some of these fractions. This section, 4.5 is on converting fractions to decimals, that is fractions that are not tenths, hundredths, etc. There are also some notes in this document.
