Web Conferencing
PCC uses two different solutions for web conferencing including Google Meet for standard, informal, ad-hoc meetings and Zoom for online courses and more formalized meetings such as hiring forums and larger event needs.
Google Meet is free with your PCC Google account and integrates well with PCC email and calendaring. Zoom requires a special license with an annual charge for hosting meetings. IT Media Services does have a Zoom license per campus for web conferencing ad hoc requests, please use the AV Equipment Request form to engage with Media Services staff on your planned event.
This service is ideal for meetings as Web conferencing supports live audio and video and features desktop, application sharing, and chat. Web conferencing participants can join from any desktop or laptop computer with a high-speed Internet connection and a web browser.
