College and Community Resources
Whether you need someone to talk to, assistance connecting to resources at PCC or in the community, help finding a community organization to volunteer with, the Women’s Resource Center is here to support you.
If you have questions about accessing these or other resources, you can talk to a WRC Coordinator for support. Visit our campus WRC pages to find WRC locations, hours, and Coordinator contact info.
PCC Resources:
- Women’s Resource Centers: Visit any PCC campus WRC for advocacy, resources, and connection to a network of support.
- Confidential Advocates: Receive support from trained professionals if you are affected by relationship violence, sexual violence, harassment, or stalking. Contact the Outreach and Advocacy Project through the WRC for more information.
- Counseling & Wellness Services: Free and confidential mental health counseling is available to all PCC students. Reach out to Counseling & Wellness Services to schedule an appointment.
- Multicultural Centers: Engage with resources and programs designed to celebrate and support students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Queer Resource Centers: Safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ students to find resources, advocacy, and a welcoming community.
- Panther Pantries: PCC campuses provide food pantries to help address food insecurity among students.
- PCC CARES: If you or someone you know is in distress, submit a report through the PCC CARE team to connect with helpful resources.
- PCC Student Life & Basic Needs Resources: Find on-campus resources and support for food, financial support, legal services, housing, transportation, technology, healthcare & hygiene, mental health & wellbeing, childcare, and more.
- PCC Student Resource Guide: Print a copy of the PCC student resource guide, including campus maps.
Crisis Lines & Community Resources:
- Call to Safety (formerly Portland Women’s Crisis Line): A 24/7 resource for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault: 1-888-235-5333
- Trans Lifeline: A trans-led organization that provides a crisis hotline and financial assistance for transgender individuals: 1-877-565-8860
- Crisis Lines and Community Resources: PCC’s Outreach and Advocacy Project keeps an updated list of resources available outside of PCC for students who are being impacted or have been impacted by gender-based violence. Their list contains culturally-specific resources as well.
- Rose City Resource Guide: A digital, searchable version of the Resource Guides published by Street Roots
- PDX Diaper Bank: A list of agencies in the Portland area that provide diapers. Please read the text carefully — the notes in red font will tell you which agencies are open to diaper requests.
- Dress for Success Oregon: Professional attire and economic independence for women.
Culturally-Specific Community Organizations:
- Basic Rights Oregon: Advocates for LGBTQIA+ equality in Oregon, providing resources and support for queer and trans individuals.
- Latino Network: Offers culturally specific services for the Latinx community, including family stability, education, and advocacy programs.
- Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO): Focused on racial and social justice, they offer leadership development and policy advocacy.
- IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization): Provides services for immigrant and refugee communities, including legal support and employment resources.
