Volunteers of America Oregon: Honor Elders through Engaging Activities
Posted by hannah.cherry
Be the one to engage a participant with dementia or traumatic brain injury in activities that break their isolation, build community, and keep their minds, hearts, and bodies active.
Support existing activities such as tai chi, bingo, art & music therapy, gardening, and crafts, or design and lead your own activity with support from our staff! Learn about health care, aging in place, mental disabilities, gerontology, and social work.
Shifts available from 10am – 3pm most weekdays at our Marie Smith Center on N Albina and Lambert House on 170th & Division.
Visit voaor.org/volunteer for a list of orientation times and contact volunteer@voaor.org for more information or to sign up.
