NEW POSTINGS

Below are 2 NEW POSTINGS from these organizations: Portland Japanese Garden and Sexual Assault Resource Center.

1. Portland Japanese Garden: Become a Garden Volunteer!

We want Arts & Culture volunteers! The Arts and Culture program is one of our most popular volunteer opportunities at the Garden. This program includes Art in the Garden exhibitions, events, lectures, festivals, gift sales, and more! Currently, we are recruiting for Art & Culture volunteers for:

Kizuna: The Rebirth of Mashiko Ceramics – June 6 to July 5, 2015.

Volunteers are needed to serve as Gallery Docents during this exhibition. Docents welcome visitors to the exhibition, offer information about the artwork, and ensure everything is kept safe. Shifts are 2-3 hours long at various times throughout the day, seven days a week for the length of the exhibition.

Volunteer advocates are often the first line of contact for individuals seeking emotional support, information, resources, and medical and legal advocacy around sexual assault and exploitation in Washington and Multnomah Counties. Advocates provide these confidential services in two ways: (1) telephone response and (2) in-person response at safe locations such as hospitals, police departments and youth shelters.

Next volunteer training scheduled for June 2015. See post for Volunteer Support Line Advocate duties and qualifications
