Neighborhood House-Cesar Chavez K-8: Food Pantry and Summer School Volunteer Positions

Summer Program Volunteer
July 13-August 7th from 8:45-1pm
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during breakfast and lunch
- Work with certified staff to develop small group instruction in both reading and math
- Supervise recess times and other extracurricular activities such as cooking and garden club
Distribution Volunteer at School’s Food Pantry:
- Guide shoppers through the pantry
- Conduct additional roles such as: Distributing numbers for a lottery system, restocking food stations from inventory, retrieving shopping carts, and/or interpreting for shoppers.
- Spanish or Somali speaking is preferred, but NOT required.
- Shifts tend to be 2 hours, and 4-5 Set-up volunteers often stay for Distribution.
- Times Needed: Wed. 1-3
EVEN AN HOUR MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
*If you can’t dedicate for the whole time THAT’S FINE! We simply ask that when you establish a schedule with us that you stick it to it.
