Attendance Matters
Students who miss class regularly are more likely to become disconnected from school and eventually dropout. As a Connect2Complete AmeriCorps member, you can make a difference in the lives of K‐12 students who are most at‐risk of dropping out by creating relationships with them and providing ongoing support and encouragement. Feeling known and cared for can be a powerful motivator for students to attend school and achieve to their fullest potential.
Be An Advocate For At‐Risk Youth As A Connect2Complete K12 AmeriCorps Member
Connect2Complete K12 Members:
- Work approximately 8 hours a week during the 2015-16 school year
- Receive a $1,400 stipend AND a $1,212 education award that can be used to pay tuition or student loans.
- Have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Are part of a team of AmeriCorps members
To qualify, you must:
- Be 17 years or older
- Be a US Citizen, National or Legal Resident
- Be able to pass a criminal background check
