SMART (Start Making A Reader Today): Love kids & reading? Coordinate a SMART program!

Support children’s literacy in your community and inspire a love of books and reading.
Work with elementary school staff to schedule students and volunteers and to provide program oversight during reading sessions. Lead a team of committed volunteers and make a significant contribution to your local school. Opportunities available in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties.
Programs from mid-August through mid-May, during elementary school hours (8 AM to 3 PM, Monday – Friday) and the number of volunteer hours is dependent upon elementary school assignment and your availability (Generally between 5 – 15 hours per week). This is an ongoing volunteer role with a weekly commitment. Training will take place in September. APPLY NOW!
