NAGAAA Softball World Series 2017 – Volunteer for the Gay Softball World Series! (Sept 5th-9th)

The time has come! Volunteer shifts for the Gay Softball World Series are now open and available to sign up for.

Over the week of September 5-9, 2017, Portland will host the largest annual LGBT sporting event in the world. This event is expected to bring 4,000 people and 200 teams to Portland and have over a $4 million impact on the local economy.

Throughout the week of the GSWS, there will be over 1,000 volunteer shift opportunities. The skills we need are many. Here are a few examples:

  • Event Support
  • Registration Table Support
  • Hotel Hospitality Staffing
  • ASL Interpreters
  • Score Runners
  • Trash Collectors
  • And so much more!!

Volunteer Training will be held in August. Dates will be announced via email soon!

The Gay Softball World Series will be hosted in Portland the week of September 5-9, 2017. I hope you will join us in pulling off this incredible event!

We are also still looking for volunteer coordinators!

About the Organization

The GSWS 2017 will be hosted in Portland, Oregon, over the week of September 4-10, 2017.

With over 220 softball teams from 43 cities across North America – from Toronto to Tampa and Columbus to Denver – the GSWS is the worlds largest annual GLBT sporting event. Over 4000 athletes will converge on Portland for one great week of incredible softball and recreation.

Events will be held nightly including the Hall of fame dinner at the Nike Tiger Woods Center (Sept. 5); Charity event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland (Sept. 6), Miss and Mr. Gay World Series Pageant at Embers (Sept. 7), Semi-Finals Series Games at Delta Park Complex and the Portland Spirit River Cruise (Sept. 8) and on Saturday, Sept. 9, the Closing Ceremonies Block Party at CC Slaughters and Fox and Hounds bars.
